Zoey's Sponsorship Page
In the summer of 2022, Zoey and Cuppy were wandering around a rural part of Collin County until they finally got tired and stopped to rest at a farm, thin and ragged. A Good Samaritan took them in and started looking for a rescue to help. We said “yes” and within a few days, Zoey delivered puppies (we assume Cuppy is the father). We don't know what kind of life Zoey and Cuppy had before coming into rescue, but they both appreciate the comforts of living inside the house -- especially a good cushy bed and air-conditioning in summer time. Zoey enjoys spending time outside during the day, and has been completely safe around our chickens. She is currently in a foster home with no livestock, but she gets along well with the other dogs in the home, including another female Great Pyrenees and a few medium-size female mix breed dogs. She is also fine with the cats in the home, which include both tame and feral cats. Zoey is very shy on meeting new people, but with the people in each of the foster homes where she has lived, Zoey has warmed up to her family and seems to enjoy affection, especially tummy rubs. We should note that the family who adopted one of Zoey's puppies did a Wisdom Panel DNA test which showed the puppy's mom to be 100% Great Pyrenees. We know some people are skeptical about the accuracy of doggy DNA tests, but based on Zoey's looks and temperament, we think it's reasonable to believe this test could be accurate and she could be all Pyr. If Zoey sounds like the right match for your family, please submit your application today. Click here!
